We may restrict or block access where we reasonably believe the website is being misused.

4. Information on our website

We aim to keep the information on this website clear, accurate and up to date.
However, website content is provided for general information only. It should not be treated as professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, housing or safeguarding advice.
Information on the website should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
Courses, activities, eligibility requirements, locations, dates, availability and referral arrangements may change.
We may update, remove or correct website content without prior notice.
5. Referrals and expressions of interest

Submitting a referral, self-referral, enquiry or expression of interest does not guarantee:
-
acceptance onto a course;
-
access to a particular service;
-
an immediate response;
-
a place at an activity or event;
-
that a service will be suitable for the person referred; or
-
that EmpowHER is able to meet every identified need.
We may need to contact the person making the referral or the individual being referred to obtain further information.
Participation may depend on:
-
available spaces;
-
eligibility;
-
the nature of the programme;
-
current capacity;
-
accessibility and support requirements;
-
safeguarding considerations; and
-
whether the service is suitable for the person’s needs.
Where we cannot provide suitable support, we may suggest another service where appropriate. We cannot guarantee that another organisation will accept a referral or provide a particular outcome.

6. Providing accurate information

When completing a website form, you should provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Professionals making a referral should:
-
have an appropriate lawful basis for sharing personal information;
-
ensure the person understands that the referral is being made where appropriate;
-
share only information that is relevant and necessary; and
-
avoid including excessive or unrelated sensitive information.
Please do not submit false, malicious, discriminatory or deliberately misleading information.

7. Sensitive information

Some website forms may allow people to share information about health, disability, neurodivergence, trauma, domestic abuse, addiction, safeguarding or criminal-justice involvement.
Only provide information that is relevant to the enquiry or referral.
General website forms and ordinary email are not always suitable for sending large amounts of highly sensitive information.
How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

8. Safeguarding and emergencies

The EmpowHER Project website, contact forms, social-media accounts and general email inbox are not emergency services and may not be monitored continuously.
Do not rely on them for urgent assistance.
If someone is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical or emergency assistance, contact the appropriate emergency service.
If we receive information that indicates a child or adult may be at risk of abuse, neglect or serious harm, we may share relevant information with safeguarding authorities or emergency services where it is necessary and lawful to do so.
9. Health and wellbeing information

Information about trauma, wellbeing, recovery, neurodivergence, confidence, relationships or personal development is provided for general educational and support purposes.
It is not intended to:
-
diagnose any condition;
-
provide clinical treatment;
-
replace prescribed medication;
-
replace mental-health care;
-
replace medical advice; or
-
provide crisis intervention.
People should seek appropriate professional support for individual health, mental-health or treatment needs.

10. Eligibility and women-only services

Some EmpowHER services, programmes and spaces are designed specifically for women.
Eligibility requirements may differ between courses, activities, events and funded projects.
Relevant eligibility information will be provided when someone enquires, registers or is referred.
We aim to communicate eligibility requirements respectfully, clearly and consistently.

11. Bookings, courses and activities

Where our website allows people to register for a course, activity or event:
-
places may be limited;
-
submitting a form may not amount to confirmed acceptance;
-
confirmation may be sent separately;
-
dates, locations or facilitators may occasionally change;
-
activities may be postponed or cancelled due to safety, weather, illness, low attendance or circumstances beyond our reasonable control; and
-
participants may be asked to follow separate conduct, safety or participation guidelines.
Where an event or service involves payment, the relevant price, cancellation arrangements and refund terms should be provided before the booking is completed.
Nothing in these terms removes any statutory rights a consumer may have. Businesses providing services online must also give consumers required information and, where applicable, cancellation rights.

12. Behaviour at EmpowHER activities

People attending our courses, activities, events or online spaces are expected to treat others respectfully.
We may take reasonable action where someone:
-
behaves abusively, threateningly or violently;
-
harasses or discriminates against another person;
-
seriously disrupts an activity;
-
deliberately breaches confidentiality;
-
creates a significant safeguarding or safety risk; or
-
repeatedly ignores reasonable participation guidelines.
Action may include a conversation, additional boundaries, being asked to leave an activity or, where necessary, removal from a programme.
Decisions will be made as fairly and proportionately as possible, considering safety, accessibility, trauma and individual circumstances.
13. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and its original content belong to or are licensed to The EmpowHER Project CIC.

You must not remove copyright, branding or attribution notices.

14. The EmpowHER name and logo

You must not use The EmpowHER Project’s name, logo, branding or programme materials in a way that:
-
suggests an official partnership or endorsement that does not exist;
-

-

-
is used commercially without written approval.
Professionals and partner organisations may share links to our public website and public referral information accurately.

-
any loss resulting from its use.
A link does not necessarily mean that we endorse every view, product or service provided by that organisation.
Users should review the external organisation’s own terms and privacy information.

You may link to public pages on our website provided that you do so fairly and lawfully.

The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:
-
maintenance;

updates;
-
hosting issues;
-
technical failures;

security concerns; or
-
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may suspend, withdraw, update or restrict parts of the website where reasonably necessary.
You are responsible for using suitable security measures on your own device and internet connection.

19. Viruses and harmful material

We take reasonable steps to maintain website security, but we cannot guarantee that every page, download or external link will always be free from viruses or harmful technology.
You should use appropriate antivirus software and security precautions.
You must not knowingly introduce harmful code, attempt to attack the website or interfere with its systems.

20. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
This includes liability for:
-
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
-
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
-
any legal rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss caused solely by:
-
reliance on general website information instead of obtaining suitable professional advice;
-
misuse of the website;
-
inaccurate information submitted by a user;
-
the actions or services of an independent external organisation;
-
interruption caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control; or
-
use of the website in breach of these terms.
We will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
These terms do not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be limited.

21. Privacy and cookies

Our use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy and cookie-settings tool.
Consent for marketing or non-essential cookies will not be treated as given merely because someone accepts these Website Terms of Use. Consent requests should be separate, clear and specific.

We want our website to be as accessible and usable as reasonably possible.
Please contact us if:
-
you experience difficulty accessing information;
